Installation

• Installation via app/code: Upload the content of the module to your root folder. This will not overwrite the existing Magento folder or files, only the new contents will be added. After the successful upload of the package, run below commands on Magento 2 root directory.

  php php bin/magento setup:upgrade
  php bin/magento setup:di:compile
  php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
  

• Installation via Composer: Please follow the guide provided in the below link to complete the installation via composer.

Configuration Settings for Sample Product

Go to Admin > Stores > Configuration > Scommerce Configuration > Sample Product

General Settings

• Enabled – Select "Yes" or "No" to enable or disable the module.
• License Key – Please add the license for the extension which is provided in the order confirmation email. Please note license keys are site URL specific. If you require license keys for dev/staging sites then please email us at support@scommerce-mage.com.

SampleBarcode ProductScanner Settings

• Enabled – Select "Yes" or "No" to enable or disable the module.
• License Key – Please add the license for the extension which is provided in the order confirmation email. Please note license keys are site URL specific. If you require license keys for dev/staging sites then please email us at support@scommerce-mage.com.

• DefaultBarcode Free Sample TextAttribute – Please addselect the DefaultBarcode Freeattribute Samplefrom Textthe options.

• DefaultOrder SampleStatuses withto Cost Associated Textpick – Please addselect the DefaultOrder SampleStatuses withfrom Costthe Associated Textoptions.
• DefaultChange SampleStatus Priceon withPick Cost- AssociatedSelect Yes or No to Change the status on pick.
• Pick Order Status - PleaseIf addyou select Yes, then choose the DefaultPick simpleOrder priceStatus with cost associated
• Default Max Qty to order samples - Please addfrom the Default max qty to order samplesoptions.
  

• Order Statuses to pack – Please select the Order Statuses from the options.
• Change Status on Pack - Select Yes or No to Change the status on pick.
• Allow Partially Picked Items - Select Yes or No for Allow Partially Picked Items.
• Pack Order Status - Please select the Pack Order Status from the options. 

• Progressbar Color – Please select the Color code for Progressbar
• Progressbar Text Color – Please select the Color code for Progressbar Text Color
  
• Progress Status Color – Please select the Color code for Progress Status Color
  
• Complete Status Color – Please select the Color code for Picking and Packing Complete Status
  

Configure a Sample product

• Free Sample

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Catalog > Products, and select the product you want to edit. Click Edit, then scroll down to the Sample Product section. From the Sample Type dropdown, choose Free Sample and leave all fields blank. If a field is empty, values will be taken from the default configuration settings. On the frontend product page, the default quantity is set to 3, allowing the product to be added to the cart, and the label Free Sample is displayed for product 24-WB07

• Sample with Cost Associated

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Catalog > Products, and select the product you want to edit. Click Edit, then scroll down to the Sample Product section. From the Sample Type dropdown, choose Sample with Cost Associated and leave all fields blank. If a field is empty, values will be taken from the default configuration settings. On the frontend product page, the default quantity is set to 3, allowing the product to be added to the cart, and the label Cost associated sample text is displayed for product 24-WB07

Configure a Simple product

• Free Sample

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Catalog > Products, and select the product you want to edit. Click Edit, then scroll down to the Sample Product section. From the Sample Type dropdown, choose Free Sample. Set the Sample Price to 10, the Sample Product Max Qty to 5, and enter Sample New in the text field. On the frontend product page, add a quantity of 5 to the cart. The label Sample New is displayed for product 24-WB07, and Free Sample is shown on the Cart and Checkout pages. Please refer to the screengrabs below.

• Sample with Cost Associated

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Catalog > Products, and select the product you want to edit. Click Edit, then scroll down to the Sample Product section. From the Sample Type dropdown, choose Sample with cost Associated. Set the Sample Price to 10, the Sample Product Max Qty to 5, and enter Sample Product Text in the text field. On the frontend product page, add a quantity of 5 to the cart. The label Sample Product Text is displayed for product 24-WB07, and Sample with cost Associated is shown on the Cart and Checkout pages. Coupon code doesn't work for a Sample product

• Free Sample

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Marketing > Cart Price Rules, and create a coupon code named “testcode”. When applied on the cart page, this coupon should not be valid for Sample product (24-WB07).

• Sample with Cost Associated

Login to the Admin Panel, navigate to Marketing > Cart Price Rules, and create a coupon code named “testcode”. When applied on the cart page, this coupon should not be valid for Sample product (24-WB07).
